2010-04-19 I have begun work on the shirt. I am using india ink to model the folds. This is a critical stage because it establishes the dark and light relationships that will show through the egg tempera layer. Share

2010-04-15 I have refined the face to a point where I now feel comfortable moving on to the shirt. Once the shirt is blocked in I will come back to the face and refine it further. Share

2010-04-09 Here I am continuing to work on the side of his face. I am refining the light and shadow to achieve a smooth light falling over his cheek. I want his face to emerge into the light so I can get a good sense of volume. Share
